Confidentiality in Therapy
Being able to speak openly is an important aspect to successful therapy. While it can take time to feel comfortable enough in the therapy environment, to do this it is important to know that everything discussed is strictly confidential.
Working towards accreditation with the BACP (British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy) I am bound to their ethical framework, adhering to their rules around confidentiality. These rules can be read in full in the following link.
Confidentiality is something that will be discussed during the first session and any questions can be addressed then.
